Participant is given the opportunity to learn Viking/Iron Age and medieval stiches by making simple hood based on Skjoldehamn find. Hood is easy and quick to make and should be feasible to even younger children.
Hood is basically made of six squares, of which four can be cut as one rectangle. 140×80 of fabric should be enough even for a bigger hood. The price of workshop material depends of the price of fabric.
Fee for instructors is negotiable.
Conditions needed are: well lit room and big table (or clean floor) for cutting out the hood pattern.
Similarily we can teach making a Viking Age linen and woollen skirt, carpet dress or carpet shirt and other clothing items
